For several years in the early 1990s, it was the flagship trading card product that brought together the likes of Spider-Man, the X-Men and Captain America. 1992 Impel Marvel Universe Series 3 maintains the trend of offering a comprehensive base set that's complimented by a handful of holograms. At 200 cards, the 1992 Impel Marvel Universe Series 3 set is the largest of the three releases. The main design is that of a cosmic theme, with stars and planets highlighting the backgrounds. Backs offer hero "Power Ratings" along with basic info and a short bio. The overall set breaks down into several subsets such as Super Heroes, Super Villains, Cosmic Beings, Origins and Milestones. Otherwise, the only inserts in 1992 Impel Marvel Universe Series 3 are the holograms, which are inserted at a rate of 1:12 packs.
