SkyBox International released a trading card series to showcase the DC Bloodlines crossover event in July 1993. Each box contains 36 packs and pack contains 8 cards. The main set is comprised of 81 base cards and 4 embossed foil inserts. The artworks were created exclusively for SkyBox and the cards were designed by Arnie Sawyer Studios, Inc. The card text was written by Ruben Diaz. The backs of cards #1–54 assemble a large puzzle illustrated by Christian Alamy.
Bloodlines attempted to introduce "New Blood" heroes and villains to DC, but promotional materials and special inserts focus on "The Reign of the Supermen!" storyline. The crossover appeared in the annual editions of all four Superman titles published in 1993. Cyborg Superman, Eradicator, Steel, and Superboy (Kon-El) are all featured in the base set. The same four Supermen images appear on embossed foil cards inserted in approximately 1:18 packs. Original artworks from the insert set have been observed in private collections.
